About us

We are Eric and Annabel, and together with our two boys and our dog, we moved to the far north of Sweden in 2024. We now live with full conviction in Norrbotten — a place that's rugged, quiet, cold, and breathtakingly beautiful.

When we started our emigration journey, one thing was clear: we wanted to escape the hustle and bustle, live closer to nature, and build a calmer, more authentic life. But what we didn't know then was how much goes into moving to Northern Sweden. Arranging paperwork, finding a home (from 2,500 kilometers away), adjusting to the winters, and finding your place in a new community — it was sometimes exciting, overwhelming, and uncertain.

We've learned a lot by just diving in. Looking back, there are things we would definitely have done differently with the knowledge we have now. That's why we started this initiative: to help others make their move to Sweden, and especially to life in the true north.

We know what it's like to leave everything behind and arrive in a place where you don't know anyone. That's exactly why we want to be there for others. As a sounding board, guide, translator, or experienced advisor — and sometimes just as someone who understands what you're going through.

Our mission is to help you avoid the mistakes we made, like those in buying a home or sorting out important documents. We offer practical support, personalized guidance, and honest advice, so you can start your own adventure with more peace and confidence.

Above all, we want to show you that moving to Northern Sweden is the best decision we've ever made. Not a single day of regret. Every day, we feel grateful for this choice — the space, the tranquility, the simplicity of life here.
